The Tamilnadu Cycling Association (TNCA) is the Association consisting of
District cycling Associations. The TNCA is a non-governmental State
Association with the non-Profit making purposes of State interest having
legal Personality Pursuant to the relevant laws in the State.The registered
office of TNCA is at Chennai.
The Purpose of TNCA are
To direct, develop
regulate control and discipline cycling under all forms district wise.
To promote cycling in
all the Districts of Tamilnadu and at all levels.
To organize for cycling
sports disciplines state championships (sub Junior, junior and senior men
and women) Inter District Cycling Championships and other cycling races like
South Zone cycling Championships in Tamilnadu of which it is the sole holder
and owner and other cycling sports.
To promote sportsmanship
and fair Play.
To represent the sport
of cycling and defend its interest before the cycling Federation of India,
Tamilnadu Olympic Association and sports Development Authority of Tamilnadu.
To Co-operative with the
Cycling Federation of India and Tamilnadu Olympic Association in all matters
particularly as regards participation in Road & Track National
Championships, mountain Bike competition and National games etc.,
Equality between all the
members and all the cyclists without racial, political religious or other
discrimination.
The TNCA is a non Profit
making body and all the financial resources shall he used only to pursue the
purpose set for the in the constitution. Any member of TNCA has no right to
these financial resources.
The TNCA has got 18 District cycling Associations affiliated.
Promotion of cycling sports in Tamilnadu is entirely under the control of
the Tamilnadu cycling Association.
Only the district cycling Associations affiliated with the State body are
entitled to organize district cycling championships with in their district
limits and they can conduct state cycling championships, Inter district
cycling championships as and when it is allotted to them by the State Body.
No individual private clubs or any Trust are not permitted to organize any
cycling meet within the jurisdiction of Tamilnadu without the proper and due
permission from the State Body.
All the affiliated units of TNCA shall extend reciprocal recognition to all
district associations in their area provided they meet with the rules and
regulations framed by the State Association and is other wise helpful in
development of cycling.
